German Pyramid: Small Nativity Tealight

  • 9500

One of Germany's most enchanting Christmas traditions is the candle-lit pyramid, which families often place in the front window of their homes for passersby to see. Pyramids can be quite tall and elaborate, with multiple tiers. This one is more petite, featuring the nativity scene in Bethlehem. The rising heat from the illuminated tea light causes the propellor to rotate, resulting in the magical motion. Handmade from carved and turned wood and handpainted by artisans of the Graupner Workshop in Crottendorf, in the heart of Germany's Erzgebirge Mountains. The workshop, noted for their bold use of color, is run by Kordula & Ronald Graupner and their 15 employees. About 5" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" deep. It comes with one tea light, and you can refill with any standard tea light, including the German tea lights we sell.
