Mexican Tin Ornaments: Flying Angel

Mexican Tin Ornaments: Flying Angel

  • 600

Those of you who know our books well know that we have a soft spot for flying women (think Sturgeon Moon and Flying Cordie, two early Red Wagon Press editions). These traditional painted tin Christmas ornaments are made and painted by hand in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where ornaments like these are a colorful tradition. Usually the artisans paint the dress of our flying angel blue, but every now and then they paint it red or pink... it all depends on their whim. About 5" long, from star to toe.
