This cloaked night watchman, with his halberd and lantern in hand, is handmade of natural-finished woods that have been stained and tinted for color that still reveals the grain of the woods used. The main difference between this and our other nutcrackers is in stature: this nutcracker stands an adorable 4 3/4" tall! He's part of our miniature nutcracker series from the Christian Ulbricht Company. They've been making nutcrackers by hand in Germany's Erzgebirge Mountains, where wooden nutcrackers first originated, since 1928. This is a working nutcracker (the lever in back operates his jaws), though you won't find a nut small enough for him to crack. 4 3/4" tall x 2 1/4" wide x 2 1/2" deep with a hand painted face; he'll fit in the palm of your hand. Handmade in Germany.
