Candlesmith Harmony Todd, the proprietor of Old Soul Artisan, handcrafts soy candles inspired by rituals, dark literature, and fairy tales. Her goal? This candle is inspired by the dark folklore character known as Krampus, who accompanies St. Nicholas on the eve of the saint's feast day. St. Nicholas (of the old bishop variety, not the American Santa Claus) makes his journey through Austria and Germany and other Alpine places on the night of the 5th of December and while he deals with the good children, Krampus deals with the bad ones. Krampus is the stuff of bad dreams and nightmares. To see him, one would think he'd smell awful (perhaps of brimstone and wet fur)... but this Krampus candle actually smells pretty wonderful, though also mysterious, and maybe this describes Krampus perfectly. Fragrance notes: pine, apples, winter florals.

Poured into a glass jar, with a lovely wax seal on top. Hand blended with care in small batches with only simple ingredients: natural soy wax, cotton wick, premium fragrances, magic. Harmony's candles are perfectly scented with essential oils and perfume oil blends. They are 100% vegan and contain no dyes, parabens, or phthalates. Handcrafted in Trenton, New Jersey.
