These wooden candle holders, handmade in Sweden, are designed to hang on the branches of your Christmas tree. We know people who use them with real illuminated candles. If you choose to do so, you'll need our authentic Swedish chime candles (available in white or red), and you will also need to take great care to make sure nothing burns but the candles. You definitely want to avoid having your tree catch fire. A safer option, and still quite beautiful, is to simply not light the candles, while still keeping them in the holders... or, perhaps even better, use these candle holders with our Swedish wooden chime "candles:" Since these candles are made of wood (so is the flame), there is no danger of fire.

These candle holders are made of wood: the red candle holder at the top is wood with a metal cup inside to hold the candle, the bottom of the holder is a solid ball of wood, which provides weight and balance, shaped like an apple and also painted red. There is a green felt leaf on the apple's stem. A long, thin green wooden rod connects the candle holder with the apple and also provides a hook for the candle holder to suspend from a tree branch.
