Krampus with Naughty Child Ornament, Handmade in Detroit

  • 2000

We're not crazy about the invasive iguanas that roam our yard, eating the plants in our vegetable garden, but we are rather fond of the good folks at The Divine Iguana in Detroit, Michigan, and they are the ones who make this wonderful Krampus ornament by hand in their home studio. Features the dark companion of St. Nicholas who travels with the good saint each year on St. Nicholas's Eve, December 5 with a particularly naughty child. In German tradition, it is Krampus's job to deal with the kids who have not been so well behaved. So you'd better be good, lest Krampus carry you off by the ears!

Reverse decoupage glass ornament in an elegant antiqued brass frame. The ornament itself is about 2" wide x 1" deep, and it comes attached to a curled metal hanger for easy hanging on a tree branch. The metal hanger is about 2" long. The ornament is double sided, with the same image on both sides. A most spectacular piece! As these are handmade, expect some slight variations from one ornament to the next.
