Divina Pasta Machine, from Italy: For Homemade Cavatelli
We just love a steaming bowl of cavatelli... and if they're homemade, well, that just makes it sublime. The Divina Pasta Machine, from Italy, makes short work of making homemade pasta. Beautifully simple design... in fact, this is the hand-cranked pasta machine we use in our in-house Cavatelli workshops at Convivio Bookworks.
Simply designed and easy to use: no motor, no electricity, completely mechanical. Well made of aluminum and enamel, with nylon rollers for shaping the pasta. Suction cup base with vacuum seal allows the pasta maker to be placed firmly on any smooth surface, like a baking board or your kitchen counter. No clamp needed. Easy to clean. Entirely manufactured in Italy.
The Divina allows you to make four different types of homemade pasta. Three types crank right out of the machine: smooth Cavatelli (cavatelli lisci), striped Cavatelli (cavatelli rigati), and Gnocchetti Sardi. You can also make Orecchietti by flipping the cavatelli lisci inside out with your fingers into a hat shape.
