Seth's mom gave him a wooden box of amber resin, just like this, years and years ago. We keep it in a desk drawer and its fragrance wafts up from the desk each time we open that drawer, reminding us of his mom, making us smile.

Amber resin is a blend of oils and tree resins native to the Himalayan Mountain rage of India. This is an ancient fragrance, one that would have been known to the Magi, to the Silk Road traders, and to the men and women of the Renaissance. 

The fragrance is unmistakeable and like nothing else: rich, warming. And while we simply keep ours in its wooden box in our desk, you may also use it as a perfume or as incense. To wear amber as a perfume, rub a small amount between palms or fingers until it dissolves, then gently massage it onto skin or hair. Or burn it as incense with the use of charcoal discs (never burn amber in the wooden box provided).
