Notecard: Alas (Frida)

We fell in love with these colorful Dia de los Muertos inspired cards the moment we saw them. Use them for Day of the Dead or anytime of the year. The cards are from a Mexican-American family in Pomona, California. They are printed there on quality paper stock from designs painted by Annette Armas and her daughter, Theresa Armas, who both take their artistic inspiration from their Mexican heritage. José Armas, Annette's husband, is the guy who calls us to let us know our next shipment is on its way. You'll love these cards, too. Each is 5" x 7" and comes in a cellophane sleeve with a white envelope. Inside is blank for your own message.

This card reads, on the front, "Pies, para qué los quiero, sí tengo alas para volar." Or in English: "Feet, why do I need them if I have wings to fly." It's a famous quote from Frida Kahlo, 1953.
