One of Germany's most enchanting Christmas traditions is the candle-lit pyramid, which families often place in the front window of their homes for passersby to see, and now the artisans of the Erzgebirge are making pyramids for springtime (and maybe we'll call this one summertime), too. This exquisite multilevel pyramid features four country folk and animals, flowers, and trees, with a golden yellow propellor. The rising heat from the illuminated candles causes the propellor to rotate, resulting in the magical motion. Handmade by the artisans of the Richard Glaesser Company in Seiffen in the heart of Germany's Erzgebirge Mountains. About 9 1/2" tall x 8 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" deep.
