Several years ago, Diane Ackerman released a book called A Natural History of the Senses. I bought it because I had read a passage and liked it, but also because I was drawn to the artwork on the dust jacket, which, I later learned, was a detail of a 1908 painting called "The Soul of the Rose" by John William Waterhouse. Apparently, you can judge a book by its cover, because I really adored that book.

We found this card, distributed by one of our book publishers, Simon & Schuster, and decided it should be in our shop. It's that same detail of the Waterhouse painting. It's just beautiful.

The card is full color with subtle hand-printed foil details in silver, just for a touch of sparkle. Blank inside, packaged with a gold envelope. Printed on FSC paper and wrapped in biodegradable cellobag by Flame Tree Publishing.
