Collagraphs are printed collages that build imagery through textures. With a fun and exploratory approach we will adhere soft textural materials such as fabric, paper, and string to mat board to create compositions on printing plates. Working on our completed plates we will experiment with different inking techniques and use an etching press to create a series of unique prints. All levels are welcome; no experience necessary.

Instructor Kim Spivey is a South Florida artist with a BFA in printmaking and a MFA in painting from Florida Atlantic University. Spivey draws great inspiration from nature in her work and loves sharing the joy of art making through teaching.
