Just in time for the holidays! Professional gift basket maker Deborah Desser will teach you how to build a solid foundation for your gift basket, and which materials to use. You’ll learn how to artfully wrap your basket and how to create custom bows. You’ll also learn how to select baskets and products that work together, how to create color and gift themes that are sure to impress, and how to best place the contents so your basket looks as beautiful as it can. You'll learn some trade secrets, too.

Bring your favorite basket to the workshop, and gift and food items you'd like to include in your basket... or purchase items from Convivio Bookworks: each participant will also receive a special Convivio Bookworks discount on items from the shop: $10 off your $60 purchase, or $20 off your $100 purchase. (We even have a few baskets available for sale!) We supply the rest: shred, cellophane, ribbon, tape & scissors, wired ribbon for bow-making, and the basket interior-building materials you'll need. All levels are welcome; no experience necessary.

Instructor Deborah Desser is a transplanted Montrealer who created, bought, and sold several entrepreneurial companies before moving to South Florida. However, if asked which business she enjoyed creating the most, she’d tell you it was her gift basket company, Panier (Basket) Panache. Her clientele included large-scale department stores, professional firms, and individuals. She loved the challenge of finding new and different gourmet food products and international gift items, not to mention coming up with unique baskets and embellishments. One of her other loves, aside from her son, is teaching. And Ms. Desser is eagerly looking forward to teaching you and sharing some of her “trade secrets” in our upcoming workshop!
