King Lionheart is one of our vintage German nutcrackers made by the Steinbach company. They made nutcrackers by hand for seven generations in Germany's Erzgebirge Mountains, where wooden nutcrackers first originated. Steinbach nutcrackers are dense, heavy, and exquisitely made. King Lionheart is stout and chubby with a cute button nose and a handpainted shield. He stands about 12" tall and is signed by 6th generation maker Karla Steinbach. Handmade in Germany.
