German Springtime Pyramid: Little Red Riding Hood

  • 10300

One of Germany's most enchanting Christmas traditions is the candle-lit pyramid, which families often place in the front window of their homes for passersby to see, and now the artisans of the Erzgebirge are making pyramids for springtime, too... and even for every day. Pyramids can be quite tall and elaborate (especially the Christmas ones), with multiple tiers. This one is more petite, featuring Little Red Riding Hood at the point in the fairy tale where Little Red Riding Hood finds the wolf in Grandma's bed. This little pyramid is delightfully colorful and altogether charming. The rising heat from the illuminated tea light causes the multicolor propellor to rotate, resulting in the magical motion. Handmade in Germany by the small workshop run by Kordula & Ronald Graupner. About 5" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 2" deep. It comes with one tea light, and you can refill with any standard tea light, including the ones we offer: Our tea lights are also made in Germany, and are available in packages of 36 or in boxes of 12.
