Loteria Sacred Heart: Frida Kahlo (La Pintora)

  • 6200

Hand painted tin is one of Mexico's most beautiful traditional crafts. For Valentine's Day, and any amorous occasion, here is a hand cut tin heart in the sacred heart style that is not only painted by hand, but also decoupaged using traditional Mexican Loteria imagery. The loteria cards on each heart vary according to the whim of the artisans, but the center loteria card on each of these is always La Pintura: the painter –– in this case, the most famous of painters from Mexico, Frida Kahlo. The final touch on this sacred heart is a coat of varnish. Hearts come in red, blue, and green; let us choose one for you (but if you'd like a particular color, do let us know when you order and we'll do all we can to make sure you get the color you most desire). Each tin heart measures about 9 1/2" tall by 5" wide x 2 1/2" deep and has a hook in back for hanging. Handmade by artisan Beto Dominguez in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
