A Bailey White Broadside

  • 4400

Featuring an excerpt from the novel Quite a Year for Plums, this is another of our offerings from Bailey White, the best selling author and National Public Radio humorist. Includes the wonderful line "Drunken birds whopsided from eating fermented plums staggered across lawns," which is a sentence we just can't get enough of. Printed letterpress from handset type on Mohawk Superfine paper in an edition of 250 on the occasion of a reading by the author in Portland, Maine. The found illustration on each broadside is colored by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Signed by the author. 9 1/2" x 12 1/2", 1998.

Available framed in wood, matted under glass: $75. The frame is a simple design with clean, elegant lines. Specify frame finish: Cherry, Black, Natural or Honey.
