German Christmas Pyramid: Seiffen Church Carolers

  • 18800

One of Germany's most enchanting Christmas traditions is the candle-lit pyramid, which families often place in the front window of their homes for passersby to see. Here, three wooden figures–two carrying open books and one carrying a lantern and star–stay put as the rising heat from the candles causes the propellor to rotate. This pyramid uses tea lights, rather than the traditional pyramid candles. Two tea lights included, but we also sell German tea lights (in tin cups) for your pyramid. Handmade by artisans of the Christian Ulbricht Company; they've been making handmade wooden goods in Seiffen, in the heart of Germany's Erzgebirge Mountains, since 1928. About 8" tall x 7" wide.
