Nói Síríus Milk Chocolate Bar, from Iceland
We had our first taste of Nói Síríus Icelandic Chocolate this past winter, and wow! We immediately knew we had found one of our favorite chocolate bars. It's no wonder: Icelanders love chocolate, and Nói Síríus is their favorite chocolate, too. The company, based in Rekjavík, has been making chocolates and other candies in Iceland since 1933 (their chocolate recipe has remained unaltered since then, too).
Our Nói Síríus bars come in milk chocolate (33%), dark bittersweet chocolate (56%), and dark chocolate (70%), plus dark chocolate (70%) with crunchy mint and dark chocolate (70%) with Icelandic sea salt. And here's a bonus tip: Icelanders really love combining chocolate with licorice... if you love these two things, too, be sure to try our new Nói Síríus Chocolate & Liquorice. You'll be SO glad you did. It is amazing and like nothing you've tasted before.
This single bar of milk chocolate contains 33% cocoa. 3.53 oz (100 g). Made in Iceland. Cocoa Horizons certified: the cocoa beans used by Síríus are certified to be grown responsibly through sustainable farming practices. Completely recyclable package... this chocolate bar is simply wrapped in two layers of paper.
Ingredients: Sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder, cocoa mass, soy lecithin (emulsifier), bourbon vanilla. Cocoa dry solids minimum 33%. Contains soy and milk. May contain traces of wheat, tree nuts, and coconut.
Good to know: the Icelandic word for "delicious" is ljúffengur, and the Icelandic word for "chocolate" is súkkulaði. The old vintage Síríus label pictured on this page depicts cows in Iceland; Icelandic milk is thought to be some of the finest in the world.
