Saturnus Swedish Glögg Concentrate
Glögg is a traditional warming Christmas beverage in Scandinavia, spiced with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, bitter orange, and cloves. Our nephews' Grandpa Art used to make some each Christmas, bottle it up in jars, and give it to everyone he knew. Art added sliced almonds and raisins to his glögg, which made it extra special. You might wish to do the same when you make your Christmas Glögg with this Saturnus Glögg concentrate, imported from Sweden.
To use, mix 1 part glögg concentrate with 1 part water, or substitute part of the water with red wine, vodka, or rum, according to taste. (I can tell you for sure that Art did not use much water in his Christmas Glögg!) Heat the mixture on the stove until warm, but do not boil.
17 fluid oz (500 ml) of glögg concentrate, packed in a glass bottle with a screw top cap. Refrigerate after opening.
Ingredients: Water, sugar, lemon juice from concentrate, grape juice from concentrate, citric acid, spices, natural flavor, colors (caramel, grape skin extract), preservatives (sodium benzoate and ascorbic acid).
