German Christmas Pyramid: Church Carolers
One of Germany's most enchanting Christmas traditions is the candle-lit pyramid, which families often place in the front window of their homes for passersby to see. Here, three wooden figures–two carrying open books and one carrying a lantern and star–stay put as the rising heat from the candles causes the propellor to rotate. This pyramid used tea lights, rather than the traditional pyramid candles. Two are included, and more are easily found at stores near you. Handmade in Germany, by artisans of the Erzgebirge Mountains. About 8" tall x 7" wide.
