One of Germany's most enchanting Christmas traditions is the candle-lit pyramid, which families often place in the front window of their homes for passersby to see. Here is another of our grandest pyramids, with multiple tiers, yet beautiful in its simplicity. It is the classic nativity scene over three levels. The figures are painted wood, while the structure is unfinished wood. The rising heat from the candles causes the propellor to rotate, resulting in the magical motion.

This Graupner pyramid comes with two styles of candle cups, so you can use either pyramid candles or tea lights. If you decide to use tea lights, we offer these tea lights. in metal cups, imported from Germany. If you decide to use pyramid candles, this pyramid uses our standard German Pyramid candles (pyramidenkerzen), which come in red, white, or honey. The pyramid comes with four tea lights and four pyramid candles, so you can try both and decide which option you prefer (or, if you'd like to switch back and forth––it's good to have options!).

Please note that though the photo depicts red candle cups, the candle cups on the pyramids we are offering are actually natural unfinished wood color, like the rest of the pyramid structure.

This lovely pyramid is handmade from carved and turned wood and hand painted by artisans of the Graupner Workshop in Crottendorf, in the heart of Germany's Erzgebirge Mountains. About 16 " tall x 9" wide.
