Mexican Tin Nativity: Pop-Up
Tin ornaments, made and painted by hand, are a mainstay of the Christmas celebration in Mexico. Here, Mexican artisans have created an entire nativity scene using the same bright and colorful technique. This one begins as a flat 10" x 6"... like a thin tin book. Open it and set the sturdy pin to keep it propped open and inside you'll find ten painted tin figure; each one can be stood up and propped, too. It's by far the most unusual nativity set we've ever seen (and certainly the easiest one to store away each year). Handmade by artisans in Guanajuato, Mexico.
