Kölner Zucker Hut: Sugar Cone for Traditional German Feuerzangenbowle
A Zuckerhut, or a Sugar Loaf: These cones of sugar are made in Germany, where they are used for the traditional flaming Christmas punch called Feuerzangenbowle. Once the punch is prepared, the cone is soaked with rum and then suspended over the punchbowl in a small burner, called a rechaud. The cone is then set aflame and we watch, mesmerized, as it melts into the punch. 8.8 ounces (250 grams), imported from Germany.
