This tempting tarragon is packaged in metal tins by the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Community in New Gloucester, Maine. They first began selling herbs in 1799. Tarragon is a very aromatic herb with anise-like flavor. A classic Shaker baked chicken recipe calls for the bird to be rubbed with butter, salt and tarragon.
