La Luna Loteria Earrings, Handmade in Detroit

La Luna Loteria Earrings, Handmade in Detroit

  • 1850

We're not crazy about the invasive iguanas that roam our yard, eating the plants in our vegetable garden, but we are rather fond of the good folks at The Divine Iguana in Detroit, Michigan. They make these elegant yet delightfully quirky earrings by hand, pair by pair, in their home studio. This pair features the iconic La Luna (the moon) card from the traditional Mexican loteria game under glass with an accent bead below.

Reverse decoupage glass cabochon earrings in elegant antiqued brass findings. Nickel-free brass ear wires and backs. The image area is about 5/8" or 16 mm: about the size of a dime, and the earrings dangle about 1 1/2" from top of the cabochon to the bottom of the accent bead. Boxed pair of two. As these are handmade, expect some variations from one pair to the next.
