Our friend Mary Elizabeth Nelson makes books and cyanotypes at her studio in Pennsylvania. This is a twelve-signature blank journal sewn in a Coptic stitch binding, sewn using four needles. The covers are wrapped in cyanotypes she made on paper, wrapped around boards. It measures about 4 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide x just over 1" thick, with a decorative stitch on the spine in two colors of linen thread. Comes wrapped in a removable woven and tasseled cord.
