Italian Nutcrackers: Handmade Apples, Pears, & Mushrooms

One of our favorite things about autumn and winter is nuts on the table after dinner, and this year, these whimsical working nutcrackers will be on the table, too. Place a walnut, hazelnut, almond, or any nut still in its shell inside, screw down, and presto: the nutshell cracks and your nut is ready to pop into your mouth. Choose apple, pear, or mushroom. (Sorry, we no longer have the one with the floral design painted on the crank.) Handmade in Italy: the wood is turned by hand and the finished nutcracker is painted by hand. A real delight!
